McTimoney Veterinary Chiropractic
A veterinary approved, holistic approach to optimising your animal’s performance and wellbeing.
The McTimoney Chiropractic technique is a gentle, effective treatment which aims to restore optimal function of the neuro-muscular system, which may have been impaired through skeletal misalignment.
Treatment includes series of high velocity, low amplitude adjustments to stimulate a therapeutic response in the surrounding soft tissues, via affected neural pathways and within the joint itself. Due to the hands only, non-invasive approach of the McTimoney method, the treatment is readily accepted by most animals.
What are the benefits of treatment?

What to expect
The treatment process will include;
- A case history being taken to enable a full understanding of the animal to allow an appropriate treatment plan to be formed
- Static and dynamic assessment, which incorporates knowledge gained from the history and linking conformation to movement. This also allows Anna to note any areas of dysfunction and misalignments.
- Palpation and range of motion assessments, to identify areas of pain, dysfunction and inflammation to be identified.
- Treatment, which may incorporate a range of modalities including soft tissue massage, mobilisation and stretching, chiropractic techniques and low level laser.
- Aftercare and exercise prescriptions which will be tailored to the individual animal’s needs, to ensure optimum benefits of the treatment given.

Alongside McTimoney treatment, I am also a fully qualified Equine Sports Therapist and Bodyworker- I frequently rely on these skills to provide the best, rounded treatment for your animal.
I am also fully qualified and insured in using Omega Class 3B LASER, which I use where I feel is needed during my practice. It is extremely versatile in its therapeutic effects, and is incredibly effective in relieving muscular trigger points, accelerating healing of wounds, reducing inflammation, providing pain relief, plus many more! As it is non-invasive and does not give any thermal effect, animals are unable to feel the laser, making it suitable for even the most nervous animal.
